Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Seth Rogen is once again starring in a comedy about a loser who somehow ends up with a hot chick. This has all the ingredients of a Judd Apatow flick, but it's actually written and directed by Kevin Smith. Who knows when the hell his last good movie was? But, as long as he sticks to the Apatow formula, it should be pretty good...




Some other breaking news on the Apatow/Rogen front... they are rumored to be involved in a Ghostbusters 3... with the original cast!!

Amanda Beard PETA Ad

Beard Crumbs would now like to officially celebrate the opening of the Olympic Games with our favorite athlete, U.S. swimmer Amanda Beard. Not only does she have an awesome name, but she is now competing in her fourth Olympics at the ripe age of 26, and she likes being naked to raise awareness of cruelty to animals!

I won't even bother making a breaststroke joke, because I'm sure it's been said a million times, and I like to keep this site classy. She does have nice cans though. (Pssst... if you were to do a quick Google search, you might just stumble upon some nude Playboy pics of Amanda here, and some other nice shots here.) Paris Hilton Campaign Ad

Paris Hilton responds to John McCain's ad that compares Obama's celebrity status to her and Britney Spears. She actually sounds more intelligent than some of the things that have been spewing out of McCain's mouth lately. (like this)

The BPA - "Toe Jam" Video

This shagadellic video is the most intentionally viral thing I've seen since Weezer's "Pork and Beans" video (see below). The Brighton Port Authority, or BPA, is Fatboy Slim's new project. This track features David Byrne, who is "fucking perfect," and Dizzee Rascal for a little UK hip-hop flava. If they really want to create a buzz, they should leak the uncensored version (see Sigur Rós video below).

New Sigur Rós

If any band can get away with a video full of naked people, it's Iceland's (same place that gave us Björk) Sigur Rós. If you're familiar with the band's gloriousness, you probably won't be shocked that their new video for the single "Gobbledigook" is artsy, cool, and super naked. What may surprise you is that the song rocks pretty damn hard.

Update: By now I've probably watched this video at least half a dozen times, but it wasn't until the last viewing that I really saw it again. My reaction on the first viewing was basically, "Wow naked people... that's kind of shocking and slightly gratuitous." Now that the initial shock has passed, I can see it as something much more significant. I think this video is about seeing humans in the same way we see animals... as a part of nature instead of something separate from, and supposedly superior to nature... it's about rethinking our place in this world. Lovely.

Burt's Bees Ad

Burt's Bees (now owned by Clorox) releases its first major national ad campaign targeting the ingredients of its unnatural competitors. They make a good argument, but they already had me at hot naked chick in the lawn.

Clorox is clearly trying to clean up its image. In addition to acquiring Burt's, they've also just launched Green Works, a line of environmentally friendly cleaning products.

I can't read French, but for some reason, I still really like this ad. French company King of the Condom released the spot in support of World AIDS Day, offering a discount to anyone who bought condoms on December 1st, and donating proceeds from the day to AIDS group Association Sida Info Service.
