Despite the much hyped Sarah Palin appearance last weekend, Saturday Night Live's funniest moment of the week came on their special Thursday night edition when Kristin Wiig played the crazy lady from a recent McCain rally. It's true that John McCain, just once, did the honorable thing and told the crowd that Barack Obama is not an Arab. But what about all the other acts of hatemongering and thinly masked racism by the McCain/Palin campaign? Telling people he is "un-American" and that he "doesn't view this country the same as the rest of us." Doing nothing to silence shouts of "terrorist," "kill him," and redneck crap like this? I'm not saying that the Ayers thing shouldn't be looked into, but I think MSNBC's Keith Olbermann said it best when he sternly warned Sen. McCain, "YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE!"
Oh well, with Colin Powell's endorsement, Obama's lead is steadily increasing despite the smears. It's looking less likely that we might have to live with this horrifying possibility. Now if we can just make it through the rest of this election process without the entire country killing each other...
Update: And now Palin lets this one fly? What a disgrace.
