Designer Mike Perry has compiled the hand-drawn work of 55 type designers in his book titled Hand Job: A Catalog of Type (available on Amazon). Perry himself has some wonderful (mostly hand-drawn) work on his site, midwestisbest.com.
If you couldn't tell by his domain name, Perry (originally from Kansas, now in NY) is clearly a fan of the Midwest. He's even created a blog dedicated to "the special makers whom make up the area between the coasts." As if all that wasn't enough, he also recently published another side project called Untitled (a fashion) Magazine.
