Lollapalooza Report

Ok, so Lollapalooza was almost a month ago... but I just started this blog, so give me a freakin' break. Anyhoo, here's a quick recap of the highlights:

Daft Punk's Live Show is Amazing

This is the opening of their set. It's a slow build, but by the end of this clip, everyone knew they were in for a good show. I'm not sure if the two guys were actually doing anything the whole time, but who cares? The show was insane! Plenty more of that on YouTube.

I'm from Barcelona is Hilarious

The 29-person Swedish band spread the love Saturday morning with costumes, balloons, kazoos, and even an inflatable raft...

The Rest of the Fest
Overall, the festival was an incredible experience. The sound quality seemed to improve a lot since last year, and the organization and peacefulness among the crowd was good. If Perry Farrell keeps his shit together, Lolla will definitely be worth making an annual event.

Other personal highlights of the weekend were Interpol, Modest Mouse, LCD Soundsystem, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Rapture, Regina Spektor, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Black Keys, Cold War Kids, Spoon, Tapes 'n Tapes, The Polyphonic Spree, Kings of Leon, TV on the Radio, and Smoosh.
